ACCOUNT HANDLER - Birmingham & St Albans
THE ROLE
Within each team there are three different roles. These are Account Handler,
Consultant and Branch Manager. The usual point of entry to the company
is via the role of Account Handler. The Account Handler is responsible
for contacting and selling the service of Howard Jackson to any IT
organisation who employ IT sales people. Working from a real time,
wide area networked computerised database of approximately 5000 organisations
the Account Handler will spend 50% of his/her time on new business
development and 50% of their time on account management. Their objective
is to liaise with companies and compile a comprehensive job description
of the client requirements. Then, in tandem with the Consultant, to
help find appropriate applicants who match the vacancy specification.
PROGRESSION
Howard Jackson have a policy of promotion from within. The current expansion
is driven by the desire to not only provide our clients with the complete
service but to provide our own staff with the opportunity for career
development.
TRAINING
An intensive week’s induction is given in Manchester. Then utilising any of our offices a further 6 weeks training is undertaken. The training is timetabled and monitored. It includes 1 to 1 training, observation, role-plays and recorded training sessions.
REMUNERATION
A competitive basic salary is paid together with negotiable guarantees, benefits package and substantial OTE. There are several incentive schemes that are run each year – many of our staff have enjoyed trips to New York, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and many other European Cities. We also enjoy a "Corporate Weekend" each year at such events as "The British Open" or "The Races".

Should have commercial experience.
